Arthroscopic Microfracture (Femoral Condyle) Rehab Program

Phase 1: 0-6 Weeks

  • TDWB (20% – 30%) with crutches
  • Brace: none
  • ROM: CPM device 6-8 hrs per day. Begin at 1 cycle/min and 0° – 40°
  • Strengthening: passive stretching/exercises, quad/hamstring isometrics

Phase 2: 6-12 Weeks

  • WBAT (wean from crutches)
  • ROM: full and pain-free
  • Strengthening: progressive active strengthening

Phase 3: 12+ Weeks

  • FWB w/ normal gait pattern
  • ROM: full
  • Strengthening: return to full activities, including cutting, pivoting, and jumping
