Loren Haynes Halbrooks, PA-C is a Certified Physician Assistant with Atlanta Orthopaedic Institute. Haynes treats patients and assists in surgery at the Buckhead location, specializing in musculoskeletal disorders of the spine.
Haynes graduated from the Emory University School of Medicine Physician Assistant program in 2013. She was honored to graduate as valedictorian of her class and received the Emory PA Program’s Most Outstanding Academic Achievement award. She has trained in inpatient internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, family practice, adult and pediatric cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, geriatrics, emergency medicine, and adult and pediatric orthopaedics. Prior to PA school, she worked as a physical therapy tech for 3 years, specializing in sports medicine and spine physical therapy.
She completed her undergraduate degree at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN in 2008, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Business Administration. She played college basketball all 4 years and has been an athlete her entire life. Also during college, she performed infectious disease research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where she co-authored the paper “Live, attenuated influenza virus vehicles are strong inducers of immunity toward influenza B virus,” published in the medical journal Vaccine in 2008.
Haynes strives to offer an advanced approach to orthopaedic care in order to maximize results and minimize recovery time. Haynes has a passion for learning and aspires to have a positive impact on patients’ lives. She is dedicated to offering the highest quality of compassionate care and the best treatment options available to her patients. Haynes enjoys being involved in the community and lives with her husband and son in Marietta. In her free time, she loves playing basketball, singing, baking, traveling, exploring the outdoors and watching Auburn football!
